https://freedomofmind.com - The information provided at this website and directly from the organization's founder, Steven Hassan, has been absolutely invaluable. "Our mission is to uphold the right of every person to have their own freedom of mind by supporting those affected by undue influence, educating the public, providing resources and information, and training professionals."
Steven Hassan's blog post about WLCC - Steven Hassan, founder of Freedom of Mind Resource Center, wrote this blog post after he graciously became involved in our situation. My personal notes regarding Mr. Hassan are found on my blog post here: https://lukesthunder.blogspot.com/2018/05/steven-hassans-blog-on-wlcc.html.
http://www.spiritualabuseresources.com - SpiritualAbuseResources.org (SAR) provides information and assistance to those who have been spiritually abused in religious or other settings, mainstream and nonmainstream; clergy and other religious professionals; mental health and other helping professionals; families concerned about loved ones who have been spiritually abused; anyone interested in the subject.
http://startingout.icsa.name - an online book, Starting Out in Mainstream America offers information about life in the USA today. This book provides practical solutions for people with needs like:
getting a driver’s license
finding a place to live
finding a job or job training
getting health care
finding your way around the legal system
and information about broader concepts like:
Abuse and neglect
Communications skills
Relationships
Parenting skills
Aspects of mainstream culture like music, movies, and sports
http://religiouscultsinfo.com - This blog was begun in January 2010 to chronicle John Huddles experiences inside the Word of Faith Fellowship in North Carolina. "First, I told my experiences inside Word of Faith Fellowship (WOFF). Next, I began exploring resources to help me understand what I had endured during my time inside and the results of leaving WOFF. Later, I began to compare these experiences to other known destructive groups. Gradually, I began helping other survivors of WOFF. This led to me to be a part of the Faith Freedom Fund. Helping survivors and telling the ongoing story lines surrounding WOFF is the direction this blog has taken over the last couple of years." I discovered this blog because Mr. Huddle posted very well-written accounts of our story here with Word of Life. I was flabbergasted by the similarities between the two organizations, though the WOFF is much larger than WLCC ever was.
https://letmereach.com - In my own research, I have found that destructive cult leaders will have narcissistic tendencies. This blog has provided great insight. "We help regular people learn to heal themselves by making recovery from narcissistic abuse easy to understand, accessible, and applicable to everyday life."
https://wordoflifestory.wordpress.com - A new blog chronicling personal testimony and experiences growing up in the Word of Life cult
http://www.ocgov.net/distatty/WordOfLife - I cannot express enough gratitude to Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara and Oneida County Court Judge Michael Dwyer. They have both put so much personal effort into understanding the criminal case and the defendants. This link takes you to several raw documents used in prosecuting the case.
